Minwax Dark Walnut Stain On Red Oak Floors

I tested minwax jacobean stain dark walnut stain special walnut stain and a mixture of 1 part dark walnut stain to 1 part special walnut stain. I had the builder put a sample of all 3 on a plank for me and i think the jacobean has a hint of green am i wrong the dark walnut might be to light brown and the ebony just looks like a light black without any brown in it.
I wanted to get a look at the colors in different lighting so the picture above was taken last night. Jumped and decided on 50 50. We want to stain our red oak floors a dark color. Just met floor guy we tested minwax colors but he is using duraseal.
We set on minwax special walnut and weathered oak to give us the look we wanted but that did not work at all. As i mentioned previously i selected dark walnut for the stain color. A few weeks ago on youtube i wanted to see the effects of different stains on white pine and poplar well this time i used common red oak that you can buy at lowes or home depot. None are what we have in mind. Last is the redder of the two dark stains we experimented with. As you can see i did not listen too well and blended a few colors.

When my littles were little we were refinishing our red oak floors i scooped up some dirt in the yard and asked for our floors to be stained close to that color.
We also chose minwax stain for our red oak floors. In fact it looked almost pinky gray. Or just keeping your existing floor looking as good as new minwax has a full range of. We tried jacobean antique brown and royal mahogany.
The other woods took the stain well with more redness coming out of the conditioned sides of the boards. We are building a house and i am going crazy trying to decide the stain for the oak floors. The poly finish is satin. This next picture was also taken last night.
Minwax has the perfect wood stain color for every project. I want dark floors without any hint of red. The wood on my floors is red oak.
